National Manager
Jess is a highly experienced Project and Workforce Management professional with over a decade of experience in healthcare administration and project management. As the National Manager of the Rural Locum Assistance Program (RLAP), she leads efforts to provide healthcare services to rural and remote communities across Australia. Her background includes significant roles at Aspen Medical, where she managed the recruitment, training, and deployment of healthcare workers. Jess holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management and has completed advanced courses in leadership and change management. Known for her strategic planning and team leadership skills, Jess is committed to improving healthcare access and quality in underserved areas. When she’s not working you will find Jess travelling or hanging out with her chocolate lab, Cash.
Program Manager
Erin is the Rural LAP Program Manager, managing the team, and supporting locum placements and requests for health service organisations in rural and remote Australia. She is also the Quality Coordinator and looks after the quality management system for Rural LAP. Erin has previously worked as a Program Officer for Rural LAP, supporting GP and Specialist Anaesthetists and Obstetricians across Australia, in addition to recruitment support for Nurses and Allied Health Professionals in Tasmania and NSW. She also managed the GP Education Assistance Program. Erin brings over eight years of experience in medical recruitment, having also worked as a Recruitment Officer for Defence On-Base Health Services and as a Placement Consultant for RAHC, placing Health Professionals in remote communities in the Northern Territory.
Team Leader and Program Officer
Lizzie is the team leader for Rural LAP and has eight years of experience with the program. She’s also a Program Officer, managing SA Allied Health client and locum enquiries, administration, recruitment and placement of locums. Lizzie brings six years of experience as a practice manager for a physiotherapy practice in the ACT, providing exceptional customer service and high-level support to clients. She has completed a Certificate III and Diploma in Business Administration for Medical and is currently completing a Bachelor of Nursing. Outside of her role with Rural LAP, Lizzie enjoys spending time with her two boys, Connor and Jackson, and keeping fit through competitive cheerleading.
Program Officer
Vanessa joined the Rural LAP team in March 2020 as a Travel and Logistics Coordinator, organising and coordinating travel and accommodation for locum placements. She has since progressed to Program Officer, managing placements for GPs and specialists as well as Northern Territory and Victoria Aged Care. Vanessa has a Certificate III in Travel and Tourism and over 10 years of experience in travel management in corporate and retail environments. Before joining the team, Vanessa managed a home business specialising in alterations of wedding dresses while maintaining the quality of life for an elderly parent. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors with her two girls and her husband.
Program Officer
Rhiannon joined the Rural LAP team in January 2023 as an Aged Care Program Officer, living in Brisbane, QLD. She has 10 years of experience in customer service, administration, recruitment and hospitality. Rhiannon brings to her role a passion for customer service and communication. Rhiannon works closely with rural and remote aged care services in New South Wales and Tasmania, and she manages all expressions of interest applications from potential candidates looking to become a Rural LAP Aged Care locum. In her free time, she enjoys baking, watching movies and TV shows and spending time with her partner, family and two dogs.
Program Officer
Angela joined the Rural LAP team in 2023 as an Aged Care Program Officer in our Brisbane Office. Previously from Canberra, she has extensive experience in customer service and retail management. Angela has her Master of Science in Agriculture and a passion for plants, the environment and sustainable farming. She has worked and lived in rural communities throughout New South Wales. In her free time, Angela enjoys the outdoors, hiking, experiencing new cultures and spending time with her young daughter.
Program Officer
Lisi-Alofa joined the Rural LAP team in 2022 as a Program Officer. Previously from Sydney, she has an extensive background in various business administration areas, working in events management and logistics roles. Lisi-Alofa joins us as she continues her studies towards a Bachelor of Business Management from SUT. Alongside her passion for helping others, she loves travelling and immersing herself in new experiences.
Program Officer
Olivia joined the Rural LAP team in February 2024 as a Program Officer and brings five and a half years of experience in customer service. Olivia manages Nursing in South Australia and Nursing and Allied Health in Queensland. When she’s not working Olivia enjoys spending time with her family and friends, loves visiting the beach and finds any opportunity to snap a picture of a sunrise or sunset.
Program Officer
Zoe joined Aspen Medical in 2021, working in Teleservices, then moved to Rural LAP as a Program Officer in early 2022. Zoe manages Allied Health and Nursing placements throughout Victoria, Western Australia and New South Wales. She has a Certificate II in Tourism and Certificate III in Business with over five years in workforce management. Zoe enjoys time with her two sausage dogs, travelling and renovating properties in her free time.
Program Officer
Mena joined Aspen Medical in December 2022, working as a Receptionist, then moved to Rural LAP in December 2023 as a Credentialing Administrator. Mena is an advocate for Mental Health Awareness and in late 2023 did an interview for ABC about the WOKE program for people who struggle with emotion regulation and mental health. When she’s not working, you’ll find Mena in Moruya with her dog Lupi, swimming and going on adventures.
Clinical Manager
Tracy has worked extensively throughout the Covid -19 pandemic within the Aged Care and Disability industries, utilised as a national resource and recognised as a Subject Matter Expert within this field. Tracy’s background in operating theatres, aged care, and Work Health and Safety complements her current roles as Clinical Manager with Rural LAP and National Clinical Manager with Aspen Aged Healthcare. Tracy is a natural leader within the clinical environment and has held several managerial/leadership roles including Operating Theatre Nurse Educator, Quality and Training Manager (Aged Care), and WHS and Training Manager (Aged Care) throughout her career.
Credentialing Administrator
Hayley joined the Rural LAP team in 2023 as a Credentialing Coordinator/Administrator. Hayley grew up in Newcastle, NSW and moved to Canberra in January 2023. Hayley is an Assistant in Nursing with a passion for medical knowledge and procedures. In her spare time, Hayley loves drawing, art, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Travel Coordinator
Luke joined Aspen Medical in March 2021, working with the Covid-19 Vax team and RAHC, before moving to Rural LAP as a Travel Coordinator in mid-2023. Luke manages and organises the travel arrangements for our Rural LAP locum placements. In his spare time, Luke enjoys coaching and watching his kids hockey, fishing, spending time with friends and family and learning more about his proud history.
Travel Coordinator
Breanna joined the Rural LAP team in April 2024 as a Travel Coordinator, moving into the role from Aspen Medical reception and corporate travel. Breanna enjoys working with our clients and has worked in customer service roles for five years. In her spare time, she trains with her team in Calisthenics and coaches the younger teams. Breanna also enjoys beach days and reading.
Marketing and Events Manager
Casey joined Rural LAP as their Marketing Manager in January 2024, bringing with her 15 years of experience in marketing, social media management, web design and event management to the role. She has also been managing conferences and events for our program administrator, Aspen Medical since February 2023. Before joining the team, Casey worked as the Head of Marketing for a local marketing agency and successfully ran her own event management and marketing company in Wagga Wagga NSW, she has also worked for local Chambers of Commerce and has experience working for not-for-profits and small private enterprises. Casey has a Bachelor of Business in Marketing, Public Relations and Organisational Communication. You’ll often find Casey wearing something pink, and in her spare time, you will find her exploring Canberra, going on adventures and visiting her family in her hometown.
Finance Officer
Joel joined the Rural LAP team in October 2021 as a finance officer. He moved to Canberra from Singapore in 2014 to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree from ANU, majoring in accounting and is now a Certified Practising Accountant. Joel has worked with Aspen Medical since 2019, providing accounting support to Aspen Corporate Health and Project Independence prior to joining the Rural LAP team. A member of Hope Church Canberra, Joel enjoys bringing hope to those around him. He also has an interest in photography and loves to cook.
Finance Manager
Karen joined the Rural LAP team in August 2022 as the Finance Manager after spending a few months with the Aspen Medical COVID-19 projects team. She brings decades of accounting experience and has held numerous finance roles across for-profit and not-for-profit entities, including running her accounting business for ten years. Karen has a Commerce degree and is a Certified Practising Accountant. She enjoys playing tennis, soccer and skiing with her family.
